
The School District of Greenwood received a generous donation this holiday season so that a Christmas Luncheon could be provided for all students on Tuesday, December 22nd. This meal will replace our regular school lunch and will be free for all students. Please see the attached flyer for information and a complete menu.

Zaleski Sports is looking for anyone interested in broadcasting, announcing, or basic media to work the Greenwood home basketball games. Pay is $10/hr and they will train you. Basic knowledge of basketball will be helpful. Contact Ms. Mayenschein if you are interested or have any questions.

You will only be allowed to attend the game your child plays in. They clear the gym after the JV game. If your child only plays varsity, please do not show up until 7:00pm. If your child plays both, you will be allowed to attend both games.

The Middle School boys’ basketball game that was scheduled for tonight, Thursday, December 17th, 2020, at home versus Spencer has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. The boys will have practice instead.


On Monday, December 14, 2020, the School Board approved the starting of Winter Break a day early for students. As a result, there will be NO SCHOOL for students on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.


The Fall Sports Awards Night will be this Sunday, December 13, 2020, at 7:00pm in the West gym. Two parents will be able to attend and sit in the bleachers. Athletes will be seated in chairs on the floor with their team members.
A reminder that masks are mandatory and to stay a safe distance away from others.


With the start of virtual learning today, remember that FREE breakfast and lunch can be picked up at Greenwood Elementary from 7:00am-12:00pm or at the Willard Athletic Club from 7:00-10:00am each school day.
Meals are available for any School District of Greenwood resident, age 18 and younger.


As we approach winter sports, all Boys Basketball Middle School and C-team AWAY games will NOT be able to have fans. Any games in our East Gym will not be able to have AWAY fans and each player will receive two tickets. We will continue to post information as we have it.

This Friday, November 13, 2020, is an e-learning day for our students. The district is providing opportunities for our students that need internet access. There will be 2-hour time slots available at the High School, Elementary School, and Sunset Pines in Willard. The Cloverbelt Conference has announced its All-Conference teams for volleyball. Congratulations Alane and Celine!



Math and measurement in Forestry! Students were determining their pace and using that measurement to measure trees.

Congratulations Avrey Horvath for qualifying for the STATE cross country meet in Colby next Saturday, October 31. He is the first Greenwood runner to qualify for STATE in over a decade! Way to go, Avrey!!! (He will run at 12:40pm.)


FCCLA made a warm and fuzzy community service project for Halloween. They made itty-bitty felt costumes which will be donated to the tiny patients in the NICU or birth center.


The WIAA regional volleyball match will be on Thursday, 10/22, at 7:00pm v. winner of Port Edwards and Assumption.
We have scheduled a Varsity football game on Friday, 10/30, at 7:00pm v. McDonell at Dorais Field in Chippewa Falls.

Horticulture students were identifying plant characteristics and classifying monocot and dicot plants recently!


The varsity football game on Saturday, October 31st vs. Sevastopol has been cancelled.

The School District of Greenwood participated in the MCHS Occupational Health COVID-19 “Triple C Seal of Approval” visit hosted by Todd Felhofer, District Administrator; Joe Green, Elementary School Principal; and Dean Lindner, School Board member. Chris Smith, RN from the MCHS Neillsville campus, assists with COVID-19 transmission mitigation strategies in preparation for the school year.
