school letterhead preview of calendar letter

Greenwood is holding discussions about the 2021-22 school calendar.  For many years now, the State of Wisconsin has not allowed local control of the school calendar.  State law requires public schools to start their school year on or after September 1.   Recently, our District Employee Relations Committee met and discussed a possible alternative to this that would allow a little more flexibility in the calendar, while maintaining the instructional integrity and number of school days for our students and our staff.  Make no mistake, the impact on our instruction and the safety and success of our students is at the front of these discussions.

Please take a moment to review this letter:

We look forward to your constructive feedback.  Please feel free to contact either school office with questions or concerns about this calendar idea or any other matter.
