Four Year Old Kindergarten Family day is a day that the children and Mrs. Baehr really look forward to. The smiles on everyone’s faces are priceless as they discover what their students have been learning. Mrs. Baehr especially values the chance to interact with parents, grandparents, and younger siblings.
The program begins with singing songs for our guests. We sang five songs: Snowflake, Snowflake; I’m a Little Penguin; Octopus; My Mother is a Baker; and Who Let the Letters Out. After we sing songs, the children go and sit with their guests to make a craft. This year the children made a snowman by using a glyph. Once they completed their snowman then they needed to write about their snowman! We also made snowman sundaes with ice cream, licorice for the arms, chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth, and an orange Tic Tac for the nose. When families were finished with snack, the children showed them around the room and showcased the projects that they have been working on.
