Dear Parents and Students:
For many years, students and even some staff have greeted each snowfall in the hopes of a “snow day.” The excitement and joy of snow days is remembered for many years. Those are great memories and a reminder of how fleeting childhood can be.
For this reason, the School District of Greenwood will completely close on the first snow day of the winter, whenever that occurs. Closed for students…closed to virtual…closed for staff. Students have lost many opportunities during this pandemic, but a snow day should not be one of them. For that day, we will allow our students to enjoy the magic of a snow day.
