Hello Camp Invention Families!

We are so excited to have Camp Invention come to Greenwood Elementary this summer!

Your kids are going to love what we have in store for them! During camp, children will

experience four immersive program modules, put their problem- solving skills to the test,

and let their inner innovator out, all while having a blast!

Here’s a reminder of our program details:

Camp Location: Greenwood Elementary

Address: 700 E Division St

Dates: July 6-10

Times: 7:40 - Doors open for breakfast, Camp Invention begins at 8:00am, pick up at

3:00pm

Help us ensure a safe, innovative, and FUN camp week by reading through these

important reminders:

1. Sign-In and Sign-out – Parents/guardians will be required to sign their camper in and out

each day. Sign-in and sign-out will be located in the lunchroom. The doors will open each

morning at 7:40am, except for Monday when they will open at 7:30am; to give everyone a

little extra time to get through sign-in. Please have your ID out at pick up to show. The

only people who will be allowed to pick up a child will be the parent/guardian listed on the

registration and/or the people listed as alternate transportation.

2. Upcycling Materials - Send your child on a household scavenger hunt to collect

clean/safe Upcycle Items that can be shared and used for prototyping throughout the

week. (Please don’t bring anything of personal value). Your child will NOT be sent home

with the upcycle materials they bring. See the attached list of Upcycling Items for ideas!

3. Medication - If your child has any required medication, please be sure to bring it in its

original container with a signed physician’s note or prescription label (if prescription), a

note with the person’s information who is pre-authorized to administer the medication, and

instructions. The only medication that Camp Invention Program Team Members can

administer is an EpiPen. All other medications must be approved for self-administration

under supervision or must have a designated administrator who can come in to administer

the medicine when needed. If your child has an Epi-pen, please contact me before camp to

set up a time to drop oƯ the Epi-pen and train team members on its use and warning signs

to look out for your child.

4. Attire – Comfort is important to a fun week at camp, so please be sure your child is

dressed accordingly (no flip-flops, please). Also, please make sure your child has

sunscreen on before they arrive at camp. Weather permitting, we may do some activities

outside.

Monday - Wear your team color (assigned below).

Friday - Wear your camp shirt for our picture.

5. Pack a Snack/Drink - Don’t forget to pack a water bottle and snack each day. Please

only send water! Lunch is provided each day.

6. TEAM GROUPS and COLORS

* Completed Kindergarten = Green Group

* Completed 1st Grade – Orange Group

* Completed 2nd/3rd Grade – Blue Group

* Completed 4th/5th Grade – Red Group

7. Bussing - If your child needs bussing from Loyal, the bus will depart from the front of the

Loyal High School at 7:30am each day, and return to Loyal HS at 3:15pm. If your child

attends Little Dawgs, someone will walk them to the bus.

Please check out our Parent Resource Center to read our daily newsletters! These

newsletters will help you learn about all the fun we are having this week.

We can’t wait to see everyone at camp!
