School Counseling

The School District of Greenwood School Counseling program is based on the national American School Counseling Association (ASCA) standards and the new Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model (WCSCM), integrating academic, career and personal and/or social development. The school counseling program reflects the progression of student development from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. It is delivered through the direct service program components of:

  • Guidance Curriculum

  • Individual Planning

  • Responsive Services

  • System Support

The program is systematic, sequential, clearly defined, and accountable. Certified school counselors develop, implement, and assess all program components through collaboration with teachers, parents/guardians, administrators, students, and community/businesses. Curriculum delivery is a collaborative effort of all school staff. The counseling program helps ensure equal opportunity for all students to participate fully in the educational process.

If you have questions, please contact Ms. Madelin Nikolai, School Counselor, at 715-267-6101 x2233.

SCHOLARSHIPS

📌 SCHOLARSHIP LISTING

Greenwood seniors can stay informed about financial aid and scholarships through the scholarship listing found above. This listing is updated regularly during the school year to include scholarships from local, national, and state level in one convenient location. The district provides these updates through the scholarship listing found above and directly to students through their Google Classroom.

Students can also access various scholarship opportunities directly through their prospective college or university. Most institutions offer specific awards for incoming freshmen. Since requirements vary—some schools use the standard admissions application for scholarship consideration while others require a separate process—students should visit the university’s website or contact the financial aid office directly to confirm deadlines and application procedures.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. If you would like to schedule a meeting with you and your student to discuss college applications, scholarships, or any other concerns, please feel free to email me at manikolai@greenwood.k12.wi.us or call 715.267.6101 x2233.
