Welcome to the School District of Greenwood's Referendum informational page. This web page is designed to provide information to help you make an informed decision on April 2, 2024.

WHY IS THERE A CONTINUED NEED?

The School District of Greenwood faces significant financial challenges that are out of our control and largely tied to the state’s school funding formula, a lack of state aid to public schools in recent years, revenue limits that have been in place since 1993, inadequate special education reimbursement for mandated services, and rapidly rising costs.

To address these challenges, the Greenwood Board of Education has placed an operational referendum question on the ballot for Tuesday, April 2, 2024. An operational referendum has been in place in Greenwood since 2005. This operational referendum replaces our current referendum.
