In honor of it being National Library Week, the Greenwood Elementary Library held a Stuffed Animal Sleepover! School librarian Michele Green invited families into the library the evening of Thursday, April 28, to enjoy celebrating reading and the library. Each student was able to bring a stuffed animal with them and leave them overnight!

During the event, guest readers from the Greenwood community came in to read stories to the families. Thank you to Mayor Dave Hansen, Public Library Director Amber Brill, Officer Andrew Kohnert, retired GES Library Assistant Cheri Lenz, and School Board Member Jessica Wolf for reading to our families!

After everyone tucked in their animals, said goodnight and left for home, the stuffed animals were caught on camera doing all sorts of things! Some were reading books, using the teacher's computers, playing on the LEGO wall, and more!

Students received their animals back the next day at school, complete with a goody bag and pictures of what their stuffed animal had gotten up to the night before. This library event was a great way to bring families together for a fun and imaginative evening!
